Marie Boss lived next door to my Aunt Anna Sheldon (the house on the corner; has a Jackson Street address). Aunt Anna mentioned her much but never mentioned a husband or a guy named Charles.
An old directory of Fairfield, Suisun, and Waterman Park shows: Boss, Marie, Dep. Tax Col., at 921 Empire Street; Boss Margaritha same address; no Charles.
A 1951 Pacific telephone book shows only Marie Boss on Empire Street; Phone 179.
California Death Records shows Margaritha Boss born 9/15/1867 and died 11/17/1949. Father's last name is Thede. That has to be Marie's mother because the same record shows Marie's mother's maiden name as Thede. She wouldn't be in the 1951 phone book because she died in 1949.
Considering the fact that Marie's last name is the same as her mother, I believe she never married and Charles is her brother since there are only 6 years between them. The mother would have been 22 when Charles was born and 28 when Marie was born.
